Elizabeth Wheat joined the Public and Environmental Affairs department in Fall 2012 after two years as a visiting instructor with Alma College in Michigan. She earned her bachelor's in psychology at Alma College, her master's in public affairs (with an emphasis in comparative environmental policy) from Indiana University, and completed her doctorate in Political Science at Western Michigan University. She is from Marshall, Mich. Her research interests include environmental law, civil rights and liberties, environmental justice, and international law and organizations. Courses she teaches include Environmental Politics and Policy, Environmental Law, and Perspectives in Environmental Science and Policy.

Kris joined the Democracy and Justice Studies department in Fall 2014 as an instructor. Her teaching and research interests include law, American politics, gender and race. She is from Rochester, Minnesota, and earned her bachelor's at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and completed work toward her PhD in political science at the University of California, Irvine. She enjoys running, yoga, cooking, baking and gardening.
