Arie and Sandy DeWaal Scholarship

Award amount: $1,500

The Arie and Sandy DeWaal Endowed Scholarship was established in 2015 by Arie DeWaal, a 1972 regional analysis graduate from UW-Green Bay, and his wife Sandy. The award is given to the outstanding student (or students) in Environmental Policy and Planning. For information about Arie DeWaal and his student days at UW-Green Bay, as well as his later career as a Federal Hydroelectric Licensor, visit his profile at the university 50th Anniversary webpage.


Students interested in applying:

  1. Must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at UW-Green Bay with Junior or Senior standing and at least one remaining semester before degree completion;
  2. Must have a declared major in Environmental Policy and Planning;
  3. Submit a resume which highlights coursework in the major and activities related to the major, including internships, volunteer activities, and involvement in the community;
  4. Submit an application essay written by the student, which is no more than two pages typed, and double-spaced, which details the student's interest in Environmental Policy and Planning and future plans in the field.

The application deadline is April 2, 2018.
