"Travel to ISA Convention to present paper"

Grant in Aid of Research

Final Report: "I would like the thank the Research Council at UWGB for its generous grant in support of my recent trip to San Francisco to attend the annual International Studies Association Conference. This support made it possible to present the findings of my theoretical research on the concept of power as it applies to non-governmental organizations. This study is a part of a long-term international research project organized by the Getidos research group at the University of Greifswald, Germany. This trip also allowed me to serve as a discussant on a panel associated with my other research interest in water resource issues. This role gave me the opportunity to expand my professional network in this important issue area. I have already incorporated some of the research I encountered at this conference into my classes. Indeed, I disseminated the Conference schedule to my students in advance of this trip and attended several panels related to their areas of research. This approach allowed me to report back to the students with the latest thinking on their areas of study. Again, none of this would have been possible without the generous support of the UWGB Research Council grant."
