What classes are available?

When can I register?
Open enrollment for students who are currently enrolled
in Fall 2012 courses starts on 10/17/2012 at 8 a.m.
How many courses can I take?
Students may only enroll in one course. There will be no
exceptions.
If I am enrolled in 18 credits for Fall term, can I
register for January interim on my own or do I need
special permission?
You can register on your own without permission.
What if I am suspended for Spring session based off my
Fall grades, can I stay enrolled in January interim?
Yes. The January interim will have started before the
University is aware that you should be suspended. For
this reason we will not remove you from your January
interim class.
Financial Aid
Can I get financial aid for January interim?
For most students, additional aid will NOT be
available for the interim cost. There MAY be exceptions
if you have not used all of your federal loan
eligibility for the year. You will need to contact the
financial aid office.
Can I use my Spring
aid and/or refund for January interim?
No, you cannot use Spring aid for January
interim, even if you are expecting a refund for the
term.
What if I expect a refund from my Spring aid, than can I use it for
January interim?
No,
you cannot use Spring aid for January interim.
Can my January course affect my spring aid
eligibility?
Yes. Your efforts in the January interim will be
evaluated as part of your fall term to determine if you
have lost financial aid eligibility for the spring.
Billing/Bursar
How much is it?
January interim tuition is $282.43 per credit for
an undergraduate course and $444.47 per credit for
a graduate course. There are no segregated fees assessed
for January interim classes because they are delivered
on-line, these amounts do include the $20 per credit
distance education fee.
Non-Wisconsin residents will
have the appropriate non-resident surcharge added to their
account. These classes are considered
part of the Fall 2012 term but will NOT be part of the
tuition plateau. No matter how many credits you are
enrolled in for Fall, you will be charged for these
credits separately.
When are fees due? 1/09/2013 at 4:30
p.m. After 4:30 p.m. on 1/09/2013, a one time late fee
will be assessed at a rate of $6.95 per credit.
Is there a payment plan? No, all fees are
due by 4:30 p.m. on 1/09/2013.
How long do I
have to drop and receive a refund for tuition?
Through midnight 1/08/2013, 100% of tuition and fees
will be refunded for dropping your course.
1/09/2013 through midnight 1/15/2013, 25% of tuition
and fees will be refunded for dropping your course.
NOTE: Students are unable to drop classes starting 1/13/2013.
A student may submit a
Petition for a Late Drop which will be considered by the
Enrollment Review Committe for approval/denial. 0% of tuition and fees will be refunded starting
1/16/2013.
Books
When is the book listing available?
Books will be posted on
the Phoenix Bookstore web site on 10/15/2012.
When are the books available to purchase? Books can be picked up starting on 11/05/2012.
Can I charge my books to my SIS account?
No, this option is not available for January interim.
