General

What classes are available?
You can view available courses when the schedule is published in late September, 2016.

When can I register?
Enrollment for the January semester begins October 12, 2016 for all students.
How many courses can I take?
Studen may enroll in a maximum of two courses.
If I am enrolled in 18 credits for Fall term, can I register for January semester on my own or do I need special permission?
You can register on your own without permission.
What if I am suspended for Spring session based off my Fall grades, can I stay enrolled in January interim?
Yes. The January semester will have started before the University is aware that you should be suspended. For this reason we will not remove you from your January semester class.

Financial Aid

Can I get financial aid for January interim?
For most students, additional aid will NOT be available for the interim cost. There MAY be exceptions if you have not used all of your federal loan eligibility for the year. You will need to contact the financial aid office.
Can I use my Spring aid and/or refund for the January semester?
No, you cannot use Spring aid for the January semster, even if you are expecting a refund for the term.
Can my January course affect my spring aid eligibility?
Yes. Your efforts in the January interim will be measured as part of your fall term and will be used to determine your continued financial aid eligibility for the spring.

Billing/Bursar

How much is it?
January semester tuition is $262.43 per credit for an undergraduate online course and $424.47 per credit for a graduate online course. Additional to all online courses is a $25 per credits online fee. On campus engineering technology tuition is $320.76 per credit. There are a $65.83 per credit segregated fees for undergraduate course and $87.78 per credit segregated fees for graduate course assessed for January interim classes regardless of online or on-campus courses. Non-Wisconsin residents will have the appropriate non-resident surcharge added to their account. January interim is now its own term and tution is calculated based on what a student is enrolled in for this term. For more fee information visit the Bursar's webpage here.
When are fees due?
1/09/2017 at 4:30 p.m. After 4:30 p.m. on 1/09/2017, a one time late fee will be assessed at a rate of $7.00 per credit.
Is there a payment plan?
No, all fees are due by 4:30 p.m. on 1/09/2017.
How long do I have to drop and receive a refund for tuition?
Through midnight 1/09/2017, 100% of tuition and fees will be refunded for dropping your course. There is also a $50 withdrawal fee for students who withdraw from J term during the 100% tuition refund period. 1/10/2017 through midnight 1/16/2017, 25% of tuition and fees will be refunded for dropping your course.
NOTE: Students are unable to drop classes starting 1/17/2017. A student may submit a Petition for a Late Drop which will be considered by the Enrollment Review Committee for approval/denial.

No, this option is not available for January interim.
