Women are not new to leadership. Think of Cleopatra or Queen Elizabeth. Consider the women who led the civil rights and education reform movements. In spite of those achievements, men still outnumber women in the most prestigious positions, from Capitol Hill to the boardroom. This seminar examines the causes of women’s underrepresentation in leadership roles in business, politics and education and suggests strategies for how we can change the status quo.

The relationship between women and leadership is an intensely popular topic recently. However, the prevalent discussion focuses on understanding the issue instead of providing substantive ideas for action. Statistics acknowledge that women typically comprise more than half of college graduates and half the labor force. “Career women” are dependable, traditionally enjoying long careers in a wide range of fields and an abundance of women fill significant leadership positions. However, women remain underrepresented in the upper echelons of the business world.

This seminar addresses ‘Women in Leadership Roles’ issues and provides workable solutions for consideration and implementation. Discover your role in expanding opportunities to open doors for women at new heights in the realm of business.

Key Takeaways: :

  • Reasons why we should care about this topic.
  • Steps that individuals, employers and policy makers can take to help close the gender leadership gap.
