I have created several zipped
files, each containing one of the case study demos we will discuss during the
semester. A zipped file is one into which many
other files have been compressed and combined. It is easier to download a single
zipped file than to download all of the
component files separately, especially when there is a directory structure
involved.
To download a zipped file click on one of
the links in the table below and proceed as described:
- When a window appears asking
you what you want to do, select save file.
- Next you specify the name of
the file and where the file should be stored. You can use the existing name
(csxx.zip) and you should store the
file in a directory on your M:
drive.
- Click on the save
button and your file should be saved.
To extract the files from the zipped file proceed as follows:
- Go to the windows desktop and
enter the M: drive directory in
which you saved the file.
- Double click on the file icon.
This will activate the winzip program.
- When the winzip window appears
click on the extract icon in the top
toolbar.
- Another window will appear
asking where you would like to store the extracted files. Make sure you
specify the proper path in the upper left box where it says extract
to. For example, if you want to place the files in a directory
named test on your M:
drive, you should specify M:/test in
that upper left box.
- Finally, click on the extract
button and the files should all be stored in the specified directory.
