I created a zipped file containing all of the assembly language programs we will discuss during the semester. A zipped file is one into which many other files have been compressed and combined. It is easier to download a single zipped file than to download all of the component files separately, especially when there is a directory structure involved. We will run assembly language programs from within the C++ Builder IDE. The zipped file contains assembly language programs, C++ programs that call them, and C++ project files. There is also a WORD document explaining how to create and run assembly language programs from within the C++ IDE. To download the zipped file click  here and proceed as follows:

• When a window appears asking you what you want to do, select save file.
• Next you specify the name of the file and where the file should be stored. You can use the existing name (353demos.zip) and you should store the file in a directory on your M: drive.
• Click on the save button and your file should be saved.

To extract all of the project demos from the zipped file proceed as follows:

• Go to the Windows desktop and enter the M: drive directory in which you saved the file.
• Double click on the file icon. This will activate the winzip program.
• When the winzip window appears click on the extract icon in the top toolbar.
• Another window will appear asking where you would like to store the extracted files. Make sure you specify the proper path in the upper left box where it says extract to. For example, if you want to place the files in a directory named test on your M: drive, you should specify M:/test in that upper left box.
• Finally, click on the extract button and the files should all be stored in the specified directory.
