SWAP, DROP, or ADD CLASSES

Note: You may follow the two-step process of dropping one class and then adding another, but swapping a class is somewhat safer for a student. When you SWAP a class, the system verifies that the ADD can take place before the DROP is completed. For example, if you want to drop Biology 101 and add Chem 101 by using the swap function, the system will make sure that you are able to add Chem 101 before dropping you from Biology 101. Therefore SWAP becomes a safer option, since there are times when you may not be able to re-add a class to your schedule, even if you've just dropped it.

ADD A CLASS

1. Logon to the Student Information System.

2. From Your Student Center, select My Class Schedule.

If you already have a class schedule, you can add classes by scrolling to the bottom of the list and clicking on Add Classes.

5. If you know the Class Number you can enter the 4-digit number directly into the box. An alternative is to click on the 'Enter Search Criteria' symbol to locate the classes. Classes selected are placed into the "Enrollment Shopping Cart"... you are NOT enrolled until you have successfully completed step 3 of the enrollment process.

(note - this add was successful, as indicated by the green checkmark, the message is the result of the class having been placed into the enrollment shopping cart during a previously unsuccessful swap attempt)
