Phi Alpha Honor Society

In March of 2015, the UW-Green Bay Professional Social Work Programs joined Phi Alpha Honor Society, the only honor society specific to Social Work.  The UWGB chapter name is Phi Delta.

The purposes of the honor society are to provide a closer bond among students of social work and promote humanitarian goals and ideals.  Phi Alpha fosters high standards of education for social workers and invites into membership those who have attained excellence in scholarship and achievement in social work.

BSW students who maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 are invited to join Phi Delta during their senior year. MSW students who maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 are invited to join Phi Delta during their advanced year.  Eligible students are sent an invitation to join Phi Delta after the fall semester.  Students who choose to join pay a lifetime membership fee of $30.  Induction for new members is held in May during the Social Work Celebration.
