Ms Groessl serves students primarily in the graduate (collaborative) social work program. She earned her Master’s of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.

Her social work practice experience includes: Clinical Supervisor and previous Psychiatric Social Worker for the Brown County Human Services Department; Mental Health Coordinator for Kewaunee County Community Programs; and a Nursing Home Social Worker for Beverly Enterprises.

Joan currently serves as chair of the Continuing Education Committee and is a former President of the Wisconsin Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. In addition, she was involved in local government (Algoma) and is a Volunteer of the Year through the Kewaunee County Human Services Department.
