Welcome To The Social Work Club
Social Work is the promoting or
restoring of a
"mutually beneficial
interaction between individuals and society in order to improve the
quality of life for everyone"
(p.6). Social workfocuses on "persons in the context of their physical
and social environments" (P.6) . In response
to the mission of the
profession, "social workers strengthen human functioning and
enhance the effectiveness of
structures in society that provide resources and opportunities
for citizens"(Dubois and
Miley, 2008, p. 10).
