What is a listserv?
Have you noticed that it is difficult for the juniors to communicate with the seniors? Or for undergraduates to communicate with graduate students? This listserv provides a forum for students to keep each other informed about issues near and dear to the mission of social work.
Purpose of a listserv?
The purpose of the listserv is for its members to keep informed about upcoming community events, volunteer opportunities, or other activities related to our chosen profession. This listserv offers an opportunity to facilitate discourse between students at different levels of their careers. It can also help promote our social work value of working toward social justice by informing each other of events in the community.
How does it work?
Anyone who joins the listserv can post messages to all the other members. If you are interested in joining the listserv, please email Alicia Wheeler at firstname.lastname@example.org and she will subscribe you. Once you receive a confirmation email, you are ready to begin posting and receiving messages. To send a message to the list, simply send an email message addressed to:
