| Iceland trip, May 2004 / 37: Lupines in Reykjavik. Many of the flowers and trees reminded me of Alaska. I initially assumed they were native but then learned that Iceland is making a major effort to bring in and establish trees and stabilizing vegetation. Most species are coming from Alaska, Siberia, Scandinavia, and other northern locations. |
