A refund occurs when your financial aid exceeds the charges on your account or you have dropped classes within the refund period. Financial aid refunds are generally available on or after the first day of classes unless your aid is late or incomplete. Refunds can be sent directly to your checking or savings account by signing up for direct deposit. Once you have enrolled in Electronic Refunds it will be in effect the entire time you are a student at UWGB.
How to sign up for direct deposit?
- Log into SIS
- The “Student Center” page will appear
- Under theFinances drop downmenu select “Electronic Refunds ”
- Click >>
- Select “Manage Electronic Refunds”
- Click “Direct Deposit”
- Click “Continue”
- Enter direct deposit information and click “Continue”
- Re- Enter account #
- Read the terms & conditions
- Print off confirmation page
What if I change banks?
You’ll need to update your new bank information in SIS under “Electronic Refunds.” If we are notified by our bank that your account information is incorrect, this could result in a two week delay of receiving your refund.
When can I expect my refund check?
Financial aid refunds are generally available on the first day of classes unless your aid is late or incomplete. When you see your refund post on your SIS account it is available for pick up or will be deposited in the designated account 2 business days later. To see if a refund has posted to your account, check “Account Activity” in SIS. See below for directions:
- Log into SIS
- The “Student Center” page will appear
- Under theFinances drop downmenu select “Account Activity”
- Click >>
- Look to see if any money is posted in the refund column
- If money is listed in the refund column it will be available 2 days after the post dates
