Hello everyone, I hope this message finds you doing well. I’d just like to start by saying thank you to all of the students of UWGB for electing me Student Government Association President for the 2008-2009 year. I’m very excited to serve and represent the student body and work diligently to address any and all concerns, issues, and problems facing the students here.
We have a lot of plans for the coming year. UWGB, under our leadership, will be working toward becoming more ecologically friendly. We in SGA want to see UWGB regain its title as "Eco-U" and provide a model for other schools around the system to follow. We’ll be branching out more globally, with a focus on the SGA
Global Blog. As a school with a lot of international opportunities for our students, we want to see more knowledge and opportunities being shared with students looking to study abroad, or looking to come study at UWGB. Fairness is a major point for our administration. We want to see the needs of all students met; whether they be desire for a better smoking policy, better access and maintenance of handicapped entrances, or extended lab and library hours, and we will work to meet as many of these needs as possible.
Again, I’m extremely excited to work for and with the students of UWGB. We’re all in this together, and as such, we need to work together to better our campus, our community, and our experience here at UWGB. Please stop by the new SGA suite located across from the new Office of Student Life. Come say hi, give us some ideas of what you want to see done, let us know we’re on the right track, or tell us we’re doing something wrong. Thanks again and have a great year!
