Mission Statement
It is the goal of the Environmental Affairs Committee to see that affects to the
natural environment are considered in all matters taken up by the University. The
original founding of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay focused on the connections
between the natural environment and higher education. Throughout time this view has
been transformed in various ways and continues to change even today. Our goal is to
see to it that the environment continues to be as important of a voice as it was in
previous times.
The Environmental Affairs Committee also works to understand the concerns of the current
student body on local, state and federal matters related to the environment and the impacts
of such matters on this University.

Have a question about sustainability initiatives here at UW-GB or a question on matters affecting the natural environment on campus? Whether you are a student, staff, or faculty member, please do not hesitate to contact me via email or in person during my office hours (Tuesday 8-10 a.m., Wednesday 2:00 – 3:30 p.m., Thursday 3:30 –5:00 p.m.) in the SGA office (located in the lower level of the Union). I also would like to encourage any incoming freshman or sophomores interested in environmental issues to get involved with one of the following organizations here on campus (Public Environmental Affairs Council, Sustainable Local Organic Food Alliance (SLO). Not only will you help UW-GB continue its strong Eco-U tradition, but it will also help develop your resume.
