Mission Statement
The overall goal for the 2011-2012 year for the Equality and Diversity committee is to create an environment that allows all people to feel comfortable on our campus, no matter their sex, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, ethnicity, race, gender expression, etc, and to raise awareness about the issues minorities may face.
In order to achieve this goal, a partnership with different organizations on campus will be created, and we will offer assistance with the programs and events they are putting on for UWGB and the community. Along with assisting other organizations with their programs, we will bring our own events to campus that cover a variety of issues that deal with equality and diversity. The hope is to address the issues that are important to students on our campus.

"I will be a sophomore for the 2011-2012 school year. I went to high school in Milwaukee, Greenfield specifically. Ethnically, I am Palestinian, and my religious affiliation is Islam. I will be a Resident Assistant in Roy Downham Hall next school year. I served on the Equality and Diversity committee as a Senator in SGA and know many people who are involved with different organizations on campus."
