Mission Statement
The Diversity and Equality Committee at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay is committed to
the promotion of diversity and equality in all its programs. We strive to ensure that all
individuals are treated with respect and dignity.
We believe the university environment is greatly enriched by the presence of people with
diverse backgrounds and cultural perspectives. In fostering such an environment we seek
to: 1) encourage respect and understanding of all cultural traditions; 2) promote greater
diversity and equality among faculty, staff, and students; 3) support campus diversity
and equality-related initiatives and communicate their results to the campus and the
surrounding community.
We firmly believe that the ideals of a diverse University population and educational excellence
are not only perfectly compatible but also mutually beneficial. We stand committed to promotion
of both these ideals and to a reaffirmation of the mission statement of the University
of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
