The Office of Student Life provides leadership experiences to encourage and prepare students like you to make a difference. We provide a variety of leadership programs to meet the needs and levels of all UW-Green Bay students. You will gain the knowledge, tools, and ideas to bring about change in your world.
We believe that leading and contributing effectively involves:
- Getting to know ourselves well,
- Learning how to build and sustain groups, and
- Practicing and fine-tuning our skills in all kinds of settings, whether that’s a class project, a student organization, a work team, or a community group.
Student Life offers an extensive menu of learning experiences from which to choose. They include our leadership conference, Max U Day; women's leadership programs; book discussions; speakers;
and the overnight Emerging Leadership Experience for
first-year students.
If you would like an individual personal leadership assessment, we offer the Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI)
and StrengthsQuest. We’ll provide you with a one-on-one consultation with a staff member to look at your results in depth.
Contact 465-2220 or osl@uwgb.edu for information or to
schedule an assessment.
Student Life also coordinates the University Leadership Awards program, which recognizes students who have put their leadership skills into practice — in the classroom, on campus, and in the community.
Staff members are happy to assist individual students
with leadership questions and issues. A small leadership
library is available in Student Life (Union 150) for
your use.
