The Women’s Leadership Program is dedicated to addressing the
unique challenges that women leaders encounter in today’s world.
Become familiar with current leadership issues important to women,
acquire knowledge and leadership skills and learn to recognize and
develop your own leadership potential.
In addition to the calendar of events, you will find a number of
useful resources including a recommended reading list (look in the column on the right), links to
additional articles and information on women’s leadership, links to
campus and community resources, and online
registration for events.

BECOMING AN OUTDOORS WOMAN (BOW)
Becoming an Outdoors-Woman is an educational program aimed at making women more comfortable and more aware of the outdoor world around them. BOW gives women (18 and older) the opportunity to learn about hunting, fishing and related activities in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Join Peggy Farrell, Director of the International and Wisconsin Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) programs for a discussion of the innovative program for women. OCTOBER IS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH
Stop by the Breast Cancer Awareness display located in the University Union and pick up a free shower card, calendar, or lapel pin and register to win a pink hat during the first week of October. HPV (Gardasil) Vaccine
Did you know that you can get the HPV Vaccine on campus? There is a new vaccine (Gardasil) for women between the ages of 13-26 that may be effective in preventing Human Papillomavirus (HPV) strains of cervical cancer. The HPV Vaccine is available at the UWGB Counseling
and Health Center upon request. For information, contact the
