V.I.P. PROGRAM
To encourage UWGB student to participate in community service, Volunteering and Service offers a package of incentives. Once you register of the Volunteer Incentive Program (V.I.P) you become eligible for special rewards.

Levels of Recognition:
  • Level 1: 40 hours of service
  • Level 2: 60 hours of service
  • Level 3: 80 hours of service

  • Hours are based on a calendar year
Recognition Package Includes:
  • Level 1: Volunteering and Service pen
  • Level 2: Volunteering and Service coffee mug
  • Level 3: Volunteering and Service tote bag

  • All awards include a certificate and invitation to be publicly recognized at the Volunteer Recognition Brunch, held every October.

President's Volunteer Service Award

In 2003, the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation was created to find ways to recognize the valuable contributions volunteers are making in our nation.

This council established the President’s Volunteer and Service Award program as a way to thank and honor Americans who, by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspire others to engage in volunteer service.

The President’s Volunteer and Service Award recognizes individuals, families, and groups who have achieved a certain standard measured by the number of hours served over a 12-month period or cumulative hours earned over the course of a lifetime.

Levels of Recognition:
  • Bronze Level:
    Adults: 100-249 hours
    Groups: 200-499 hours
  • Silver Level:
    Adults: 250-499 hours
    Groups: 500-1,000 hours
  • Gold Level:
    Adults: 500 hours or more
    Groups: 1,000 hours or more

  • *Hours are based on a calendar year
Award recipients can receive:
  • An official President’s Volunteer Service Award lapel pin
  • A personalized certificate of achievement
  • A congratulatory letter from the President of the United States
  • A letter from the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation

Stop by the Office of Student Life, UU150, to pick up a volunteering and service verification form or dowload/print:
