Environmental Program Fund

As with everything in higher education today, it takes financial support – a different type of green – to continue programs and build new ones. Our sustainability efforts at UW-Green Bay are no exception.

This is where you can make a difference both now and well into the future by making a contribution to the H. Weldon McGee Environmental Program Discretionary Fund. The Sustainability Office has the ability to use the income generated by this Fund for "expenditures related to expanding and enhancing the environmental programs at UW-Green Bay."

The current balance in the fund generates about $1,000 per year. This income has contributed to the purchase of reusable Eco U bags, in collaboration with the Student Government Association, Phoenix Bookstore and Public & Environmental Affairs student organization that were given away to students during RecycleMania (www.recyclemaniacs.org) in 2012.

Your Contribution

Your contribution to this fund will help it grow now and into the future, providing funds for events, student participation in conferences, and the purchase of materials or technology such as solar panels (we’re thinking big!) that requires additional funding. Of course, there are many opportunities to donate to scholarship funds, too, or set up a scholarship fund yourself for students following a career path in sustainability related disciplines – the UWGB Advancement Office can help you achieve that goal!

If you are interested in contributing to the H.Weldon McGee Environmental Program Fund, just go to the Advancement page (Link) and click the Give Online icon. Fill in the form’s Personal Information section. In the Donation Amount section, fill in the amount you wish to contribute, click the arrow in the Gift Designation section and scroll to the H. Weldon McGee Environmental Program Discretionary Fund. Fill in the remaining form sections and click the blue Make Donation button.
