Sodexho goes biodegradable with dinnerware!
Dining Services and the University Union have announced a move to biodegradable dinnerware. All dining areas will now be using new plates and bowls, with cups and straws coming soon! The new dinnerware biodegrades in 60 to 180 days naturally... production of dinnerware emits less carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases, with no chemical residues. The dinnerware is produced from natural products, such as corn, wheat starch, and potato starch.
Products and Purchasing
Augment state purchasing requirements whenever possible by buying products with recycled content produced within 500 miles of campus and using surplus sales to promote re-use.
