The State Competition is in Madison on April 29, 2006. The National Competition is in Washington, D.C. June 11-15, 2006.

Services available include:

  • Meeting with interested teachers
    to describe the program, provide guidance on topics and curriculum connections, and answer questions.
  • Presentations in your classroom
    about National History Day.
  • Hosting research visits
    by your class to the Green Bay Area Research Center at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay.
  • Presentations regarding primary vs. secondary research.
  • Identification of relevant primary sources
    (a requirement for National History Day projects).
  • Transfer of original source materials
    from the Wisconsin Historical Society and other area research centers to the Green Bay Area Research Center for student use.
