How do I get to Green Bay?

Please send us your itinerary as soon as you have it. (You can send it to Dr. Andrew Kersten (contact information below.)

  • We have worked with a local travel agent to help you arrange your trip. To have the grant program billed directly, call Teresa Strand at Chamber Travel (800-235-9596).
  • If you make your own arrangements, we will reimburse you up to $465. Please keep all your air travel receipts.

Green Bay's international airport is Austin Straubel Airfield.

How will I get from the airport to the university?

Dr. Kim Nielsen or Dr. Andrew Kersten will pick you up at the airport and take you back.

Where will I be staying?

Instructors will be staying on the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay campus in our brand new housing. Registration is handled on their behalf. There is no cost to instructors. To see the housing, please click here: Ed Thompson Hall (opens in a new window).

What is the honorarium?

The honorarium is $4,000.00. Please send your completed W-9 form (see below) to Dr. Andrew Kersten (contact information below) so that you can be paid promptly.

What is the daily schedule and agenda?

The syllabus contains the daily agenda and hourly schedule. To view the syllabus, click here (syllabus opens in a new window).

  • The seminar begins Sunday evening with a welcome dinner.
  • Weekday activities begin with breakfast at 8 and run until 5. Friday we end early (approximately 3).

If you have any specific classroom equipment requests, please contact Dr. Andrew Kersten (contact information below) as soon as possible.

What if I have special needs?

Please convey any special needs (for example, dietary) to us as soon as possible. Please contact Dr. Andrew Kersten (contact information below).

What forms must I fill out and give to Dr. Kersten?

Please fill out and return a W-9 form and a copyright agreement form (so that we can publish your lesson plan ideas in Voyageur Magazine as well as in electronic form).

Please remember to provide us with electronic versions of your lectures and bibliographies when you arrive. Any computer format is acceptable; we prefer Microsoft Word.
