What books and reading materials should I have? When must I read
them?
Participants will have received reading materials in April for the
summer seminars. Participants are expected to have read books and
materials prior to the start of the seminar. For questions about the

What is the daily schedule and agenda?
The syllabus contains the daily agenda and hourly schedule. To view

- The seminar begins Sunday evening with a welcome, orientation, and dinner.
- Weekday activities begin with breakfast at 8 and run until 5.
Friday we end early (approximately 3).
- Participants are expected to attend the entire seminar. Weekday dinners

Do I get access to the campus computer labs? Do I get access to the
UWGB library?
Participants have access to campus computer labs and the library.

Where do I park?
During orientation on Sunday evening, participants receive a parking permit for the
entire week. Sunday night, please park in the Visitor Parking Lot (near
the University Union and Mary Ann Cofrin Hall). For the rest of the
seminar, please choose a different lot (such as the Weidner Lot or the

Where will I be staying?
Participants who need housing will be staying on the University of Wisconsin-Green
Bay campus in our brand new housing. Registration is handled on their

What weekday dinner plans are available for me?
Evening meals are provided free of charge. Please let us know
(contact Dr. Andrew Kersten (contact
information below)) which weekday dinner(s) you want to attend
(Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday). Sunday's dinner is
mandatory. Weekday dinners are optional.
What if I have special needs?
Please convey any special needs (for example, dietary) to us as soon
as possible. Please contact Dr. Andrew Kersten (contact
information below).
How do I get graduate credit?
Inform Dr. Andrew Kersten if you wish to obtain graduate credit
for the program. The credits apply directly to the follow-up workshops
(the summer seminar is a course prerequisite). The workshops will take
place in the CESA 7 office. For an instruction sheet and the required
forms, please contact Dr. Andrew Kersten (contact
information below).
Will I get paid to participate?
Each participant receives $650 for their activities in the seminar
and $100 for attendance at the workshop. To receive payment, please fill
out a W-9 form. (You can download the W-9 form below.)
What forms must I fill out and give to Dr. Kersten?
Please fill out and return a W-9 form and a copyright agreement form (so that
we can publish your lesson plan ideas in
Voyageur Magazine as well as in electronic form).
