Checkout Equipment
Clarification on when charges apply:
We do not charge for faculty and teaching staff for equipment use needs dealing with classroom instruction. For all other campus requests from staff and students involving labor and/or equipment rental, including A/V duplication and editing, charges will apply based on the rates and fees established under the campus Master Fee schedule.
Faculty and staff may request that equipment be delivered to campus locations for specific dates and times by calling Media Services at Ext. 2416. Students cannot request equipment deliveries.
The following equipment can be reserved for on-campus use by faculty and staff:
- Computer cart (PC or MAC)
- Camcorders
- Document camera
- LCD-VHS cart
- LCD-DVD cart
- Speakerphone (Polycom)
- Stereo cart
- CD/Cassette Boombox
- TV-VHS cart
- TV-DVD cart
- TV-International VCR
- TV-Laserdisk player
The following equipment at Media Services can be checked out by faculty
and staff for up to fourteen days. It can then be renewed once for fourteen days. Students may also check out the following equipment with an authorization
form signed by their professor:
- Digital cameras
- Camcorders
- Tripods
- Portable Slide Projectors
- Slide trays
- Cassette Recorders
- CD/Cassette players
- Laptops (PC & MAC, Faculty only)
- Portable LCD Projectors
The authorization form should be presented to Media Services when the student picks up the equipment from Media Services.To check the availability of a specific type of equipment or to reserve it for a specific date and time, please contact Media Services at 2416.
Acceptable use policy statement regarding the checkout of equipment from the Media Services Center:
Media Services equipment can be checked out for the following approved activities:
any instructional related needs of faculty and staff, training needs, or
any administrative needs of university staff. Equipment use and rental by
students will need prior authorization from faculty. This policy excludes
the use of Media Services equipment for personal use. Rental fees are applied
for non-instructional needs as specified through current fee schedule.
