Test Security
A very legitimate concern of all instructors is that of test security. If a test were to fall into unauthorized hands, not only would there be unfair advantage, but the whole value of a sound evaluation program would be destroyed. For this reason, the following precautions are taken to ensure the security of the tests that you submit:
• All tests are scored and processed by Media Services staff. Student help is never used for this purpose.
• All tests must be brought in and picked up by the instructor or designated assistant. An updated authorization list from a faculty member requesting a lab assistant, support person, etc. to pick up or drop off exams must be submitted each semester by email to Dan Schrickel. Inter-Campus mail cannot be used and exams are not to be turned in using Inter-Campus mail envelopes. Exam envelopes are available at the Media Services envelope.
• All key answer sheets and response sheets are to be picked up by the instructor or the designee.
Media Services would greatly appreciate your bringing to our attention any suspected breaches in test security over which we would have control. We will then make every effort to determine the cause and deal with it accordingly.
