Weekend Programming in the Union

After Hours
After Hours is UW-Green Bay’s very own non-alcoholic dance club!  The Phoenix Rooms turn into a bumping dance club every other Friday night from 11:00pm-1:30am.  Be prepared for intense music, lots of people, and sweet dance moves! For only $1 you will get the best in light and sound, as well as a great environment.  Entrance for After Hours is located on the second floor housing entrance.  Get ready to shake it!

Pastimes Mini Courses
At the Union we like to provide students with a chance to learn outside the classroom.  Pastimes Mini Courses give students a chance to learn about new topics and pick up life skills.  Some upcoming topics are Latin dance, a pasta course, and scrap booking.  For a small fee of $2 students are provided with all the supplies needed for the course and instruction.  If your looking to learn something new come to a Pastimes Mini Course!  Sign-up is located at the University Ticketing and Information Center or online.

Cheap Seats Movie Series
A big screen, surround sound, and concessions can all be found at the CheapSeats movie series!  For only $2 students can enjoy a movie right on campus in the Christie Theater.  Movies are playing once a month, and include blockbuster hits such as the American Gangster and I am Legend - there are movies to suite everyone’s tastes.  Sit back and relax at the CheapSeats Movie Series.

Common Grounds Coffeehouse

Grab a gourmet coffee, coffee-based drink or tea at the Common Grounds Coffeehouse featuring Alterra Coffee (Fair Trade)! Listen to music, surf the web on your wireless laptop, chat with friends new and old, play board and card games, peruse artwork and literature, enjoy a gourmet sandwich or bakery item, relax and unwind within the cozy atmosphere, while watching a variety of live entertainment! The Common Grounds Coffeehouse is all that and more, located on the second floor of the University Union.

Deep Fried Band Series
Enjoy a live band in the Phoenix Club on a Saturday nights at 9:00pm, for FREE. This event takes place one Saturday a month, and features local Wisconsin based bands. Enjoy, listen and relax!

Open Mic Nights
Music, readings, and comedy are all options for Open Mic Nights!  This is your chance to share your talents.  Every other Tuesday night from 8:00-10:00pm the Common Grounds Coffeehouse opens its doors to UW-Green Bay’s finest.  If you are too shy to jump on stage just stop in to see what our campus has to offer.
Union-wide Programs
University Union Programs are open to the campus community and are meant to provide fun opportunities to highlight the University Union dinning services, Phoenix Club Recreation Area, and the University Ticketing and Information Center.  Union wide programs are full of fun, knowledge, and savings. 
Schmuzefest
Schmuzefest is the Union’s way of saying welcome to incoming freshman and returning students.  Expect to learn about all of the services offered by the Union with a whole lot of fun added in.
Batty Bash
It’s a ghoul time in the Union, full of games, food, and information. 
Baskets for Birds
Come shoot some hoops for a good cause in the Leona Cloud Commons dinning room.  If you win you may be going home with your very own turkey!
Tis the Season
Spread some holiday cheer with members of the community.  Tis the Season offers a brunch, pictures with Santa, crafts, and much more!
