Q: Who is required to purchase a dining plan?
A: Students who choose to live in a Residence Hall are required to purchase one of the Residence Hall Dining Plans that are available. Students living in a campus apartment or off-campus are not required to purchase a dining plan, but can if they choose to. For those students, we have the Apartment/Commuter Dining Plans.
Q: What is the minimum Residence Hall Dining Plan?
A: The minimum Residence Hall Dining Plan in 2009-2010 is $800.
Q: Where can I use my dining plan?
A: Students can use their dining plan at any campus restaurant or convenience store (food items only).
Q: Are the dining plans at UW-Green Bay an “all you can eat” style?
A: No, all of our dining plans are declining balance plans. This means that the dining plan amount that you purchase is given to you as a prepaid debit account to spend in campus restaurants and the convenience store (food items only). There are no restrictions on where or when students can eat.
Q: When do I have to spend my dining plan?
A: All dining plans must be used by the end of the Academic Year (May 31).
Q: What if I didn’t spend my entire dining plan?
A: Residence Hall students will have the opportunity to convert any balance over $25, but not exceeding $100, of remaining Dining Points to Pass Points the last week of the spring semester. Any remaining Dining Points that are not converted to Pass Points must be used by May 31.
Q: What if I want to add to my dining plan?
A: Students can add to their dining plan any time during the year at the University Ticketing & Information Center in the University Union.
