Convocation features chancellor's speech,
awards, new employees

A candid and far-reaching speech by Chancellor Bruce Shepard, awards for faculty and staff excellence, and the introduction of new members of the campus community highlighted the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s annual Fall Convocation on Tuesday (Aug. 28) in the University Union. The Phoenix Rooms of the Union were filled as the faculty and staff gathered for the annual campus get-together that kicks off the academic year. In his speech, Shepard said UW-Green Bay is making good progress in building “the next UWGB” but faces many challenges ahead. “You have already shown your willingness to take control, to build, to innovate,” the Chancellor said.
