Small Business Development Center offers training session for entrepreneurs

GREEN BAY — A program designed to help entrepreneurs prepare a business plan for better management, or to apply for financing, will be offered in Green Bay starting Wednesday, Sept. 17.

The Entrepreneurship Training Program hosted by the UW-Green Bay Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is a comprehensive series of classes and individual coaching designed to help entrepreneurs refine their business concept and attract financing. The goal is to complete a business plan that new or existing businesses can use to improve business management, apply for financing or develop new strategic initiatives.

The 10-week program is offered at the Business Center in Green Bay, 2701 Larsen Road. The class will meet from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday evenings starting Sept. 17 with a two-week break over Thanksgiving.

The Wisconsin Department of Commerce will provide a 75-percent tuition waiver through the Small Business Development Center to qualified candidates prior to starting coursework.  The cost is $250 with a successful application.

For more information on the program and an application form for tuition assistance, contact the SBDC at (920) 496-2117 or online at www.uwgb.edu/sbdc.

The UW-Green Bay Small Business Development Center provides business resources, one-on-one advising, and business programs for small business owners and entrepreneurs in Northeastern Wisconsin.  As part of a statewide network serving businesses and entrepreneurs, its mission is to champion entrepreneurial growth in Northeastern Wisconsin.
