'StartupNation' founders to keynote Entrepreneur's Connection event

GREEN BAY-Brothers Jeff and Rich Sloan, seasoned entrepreneurs and founders of StartupNation® will be the keynote presenters at the Green Bay Area Entrepreneur's Connection conference scheduled from 2 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 at The Meadows at 827 Kepler Dr., in the I-43 Industrial Park.

Content of the conference, sponsored by the Business Assistance Center, 2701 Larsen Rd., and the City of Green Bay, is aimed toward entrepreneurs who are just starting or expanding their businesses.

The Sloans are experienced entrepreneurs who have started businesses and obtained patents. They have been featured in "The New York Times," the "Wall Street Journal," "Fortune Small Business," "Entrepreneur Magazine," CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, and Fox News.

Conference participants will have an opportunity to hear from their peers, network, and meet entrepreneurial service providers. They'll also be invited to vie for $1,500 in prize money in an "Elevator Pitch" contest, in which contestants get 90 seconds to "pitch" their businesses.

The Entrepreneur's Connection conference has been held annually since 2004 when "Inc." magazine named Green Bay the number one medium-sized city in America for doing business.

The conference cost of $35 includes a reception. Registration may be made by phone to (920) 496-9010 or online at www.mynewbusiness.org.
