For Immediate Release: Monteverdi's 'L'Orfeo' opera performed by UW-Green Bay students GREEN BAY-The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Opera Studio will present Claudio Monteverdi's "L'Orfeo," at 7:30 p.m. this Friday and Saturday, April 18-19, at the University Theater on campus, 2420 Nicolet Drive. This performance, which will be sung in English, blends dance, theater and music into an "engaging version of Monteverdi's masterpiece," said Prof. Benjamin Brecher, music and stage director. "The students have embraced this style of music, and I am happy we can bring this Baroque opera to life in Green Bay," Brecher added.
