With eye on fall, UW-Green Bay limits spring admission

UW-Green Bay will close admission Dec. 15 for new freshman and transfer students for spring semester classes that begin in mid-January. The action by the University's enrollment management team applies to degree-seeking new freshmen and transfer students and does not, at this time, apply to some other categories of students, says Steve Neiheisel, assistant dean for enrollment services. Applications for spring semester from transfer students especially are up significantly and early registration for spring by continuing students is well ahead of last year's numbers, leading to concern that the fall 2001 enrollment picture will be tight.
