Chancellor Search Committee sets open forums for week of April 2

The UW-Green Bay Chancellor Search Committee held its first meeting on campus Thursday afternoon. The committee has announced that it will hold a series of open forums to gain input from campus and community members before beginning the search. The sessions take place in the Union's Phoenix Room A during the day on Tuesday, April 3, and Thursday, April 5. At least seven separate, 90-minutes windows have been set aside for members of the committee to hear from faculty, staff, students and community members. Times have been reserved for each constituency group. For more, go to the University Communication news site at http://www.uwgb.edu/univcomm/news/archive/2001mar.htm#forums

The name "----------------- Hall" will be unveiled Friday

A news conference has been scheduled for Friday (March 30) at 11 a.m. on the third floor of the Cofrin Library for a major announcement regarding naming of the New Academic Building. The naming ceremony, which will honor a prominent citizen, is expected to last about twenty minutes. The location is the third floor's glassed-in study area, at the corner overlooking the building site. Following the brief formal program, campus officials will lead the media and guests on a "sneak-preview tour" of the portion of the building nearest the library. Members of the campus community are welcome to attend both the 11 a.m. announcement and the brief walk-through to follow.
