Know a local teacher? Partnership offers $70K in classroom grants

One of the most visible components of the Institute for Learning Partnership at UW-Green Bay — a research-grant program for local teachers — is soliciting applications until March 22. Seventy thousand dollars in research grants will be available for 2002-2003 projects that directly impact teaching and learning. Projects may be classroom-specific as well as multi-school or multi-district collaborations, says Institute Director John Crubaugh, who describes teacher-directed, school-based research as important because it gives educators, especially classroom teachers, an opportunity to practice applying research in their own classrooms. Help spread the word. Information can be downloaded from the Institute's Web page at www.uwgb.edu/learnpart/.
