Saturday's Spring Commencement will be held indoors at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts. Chancellor Bruce Shepard says the decision was based as much on a weather forecast calling for temperatures in the 40s as on the 70 percent chance of rain. (As somebody here said, with that kind of chill we'd see more blaze orange in the crowd than spring finery.) In any event, the organizing team is right now going to the backup plan in terms of staging and logistics. Look for another email this afternoon with full details for participants and spectators.
