UW-Green Bay loses dear friend in Josephine Lenfestey

Josephine Buchanan Lenfestey, who with her husband was one of UW-Green Bay's most important community supporters, died June 26 at the age of 95. Mrs. Lenfestey visited campus as recently as last July for a dinner in her honor marking the dedication of the Lenfestey Family Courtyard. She and her husband, Ted, who preceded her in death, were active in the Founders Association and UW-Green Bay's first capital campaign. She received the Chancellor's Award at May 1978 commencement. Two campus residence halls bear Mr. and Mrs. Lenfestey's names, and dressing rooms of the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts are named for them. For more on her life, as well as visitation Wednesday (July 2) and services Thursday, see the Press-Gazette obituary at http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/news/records/rec_11019289.shtml.
