Weidner offers special deal on 'Sing-A-Long Wizard of Oz'The Weidner Center invites you to the 7 o'clock opening tonight (Nov. 25) of Sing-A-Long Wizard of Oz at the Meyer Theatre. The extra-special student rush price of just $6 is being extended to everyone on campus. If you would like to beat the rush, you can call or stop by the Weidner Center Ticket Office during the day today. Sing-A-Long Wizard of Oz is a splashy night of theatre and film featuring the original classic fully restored for the big screen. Sing-A-Long Wizard of Oz invites audiences of all ages to celebrate the story of Dorothy and her fantastical journey through the Land of Oz by joining in and singing along to some of history's best known and loved songs in a theatre filled with audience members dressed up as their favorite Wizard of Oz characters. A spirited master-of-ceremonies will lead the crowd through the evening's audience participation, including singing along with Dorothy and hissing at the Wicked Witch. All of this entertaining audience involvement adds to the fun of watching the film. Plus, a "Perform-A-Long Fun Pack" is provided free with every ticket. Creativity is generously rewarded during an on-stage costume contest. "So, focus your brain, listen to your heart and summon up your courage, Sing-A-Long Wizard of Oz is about to transport you to a new, colorful world of unimaginable fun!"
