C-Span bus offers free, high-tech tours today at UW-Green Bay

The national cable network C-Span is on campus until 3 p.m. today (Thursday, April 22). The occasion is not a broadcast, but a local stop by the C-Span School Bus, a mobile television studio and demonstration center that is touring Wisconsin this week on a voter education drive in advance of the 2004 Presidential Election. Students, faculty and staff are welcome to tour the bus; C-Span officials say it will be of particular value to those interested in politics and communications. Along with promoting C-Span cable coverage, the tour is calling attention to political information available on the Web and via other sources. Parked alongside the C-Span Bus is the Digital Express demonstration trailer sponsored by Time-Warner. The vehicles are parked in the turnaround adjacent to the University Union and Mary Ann Cofrin Hall. Feel free to drop in.
