Alumni Phone-a-Thon connects with single-day record!

Last night was magic for the Alumni Phone-a-Thon and the 10 student callers who hit a hot streak in dialing up friends of UW-Green Bay. The students collected financial pledges totaling $6,105, a new one-night record that smashed the previous high by nearly $1,500. Annual Giving Director Shane Kohl says great callers and the "Mueller Match" (see this month's "Inside UW-Green Bay" online) are factors in the success. Alumni are receptive and eager to talk about Shorewood Club memories, favorite professors, Nicolet Room food and upbeat news from today's campus. This edition of the Phone-a-Thon, the seventh annual, is entering its second week and will run through late March, attempting to reach more than 12,000 UW-Green Bay alumni.

Ecumenical Center resurrects 'Last Lecture' series with UW-Green Bay profs

The Ecumenical Center is offering a brown bag lunch series during the Christian liturgical season of Lent, entitled the "Last Lecture Series." March 3 — Marcelo Cruz
March 10 — Andrew Kersten
March 24 — Derek Jeffreys
