Campus Dialogue Luncheon is March 31, not this Wednesday

Fans of the annual Campus Dialogue Luncheon should be advised that the correct date is March 31, running from noon to 2 p.m. in the Niagara Room. To reserve your free ticket, contact the Office of Student Life for reservations beginning March 1. (Please note: Earlier calendars listing this Wednesday as dialog day were incorrect.) The annual luncheon has developed a following as a gathering at which cultural differences and contemporary issues make for engaging table talk.

Paper technology center could have presence downtown

A new paper technology transfer center at UW-Green Bay — envisioned at Monday's campus news conference as a successor of sorts to the former Institute of Paper Chemistry — could have offices or headquarters in downtown Green Bay. Mayor Jim Schmitt's enthusiasm for that prospect was one of the angles highlighted in Green Bay News-Chronicle coverage at http://www.greenbaynewschron.com/page.html?article=124228.

Newspaper story recaps theatre program's success

"I was so proud to hear... 'from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay...' spoken so many times (seven) at the final awards ceremony." That was the comment from Prof. Laura Riddle, theatre chairperson, for a Press-Gazette story recapping the program's success at last month's ACTF regional competition. The story and a photo of the "Golden Hand Truck award" are online at http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/news/archive/local_14413439.shtml.

Admissions Web site wins award

Congratulations to the UW-Green Bay Admissions Office and Student Affairs webmaster Todd Sanders for earning recognition in the annual "best of" competition sponsored by Admissions Marketing Report magazine. UW-Green Bay earned a Bronze Award in the "Admissions Web site" category. The only sites scoring higher among entrants from schools with enrollments of 5,000 to 9,999 were those for West Texas A&M and perennial award-winner University of Dayton.
