Do it twice in three years and, arguably, you've solidified your reputation as a Top 25 program at the major-college level! Congratulations to the 20-2 Phoenix women's basketball team and Coach Kevin Borseth. They received word today that they have cracked the Associated Press poll at No. 24 in the nation. (Two years ago, the team was ranked most of the season, rising as high as No. 16; this year's squad has an entirely new starting lineup.) The poll should be posted later today at the ESPN site, http://sports.espn.go.com/ncw/rankings?poll=1. * * * * *
