New
for fall 2005: Name change to First Nations Studies
It's official. UW-Green Bay has notified UW System of a name change,
with the minor formerly known as American Indian Studies becoming
"First Nations Studies." Prof. Lisa Poupart, chairperson of the
program, says the shift to First Nations follows a shift taking
place at other universities, and moreover, a desire expressed by
UW-Green Bay and its students to reflect the sovereign status of
tribal communities. The program website is at http://www.uwgb.edu/fns/.
Parking report: Avoid the lines, buy
decals now
Faculty and staff are reminded that purchasing parking decals prior
to Thursday of this week (Sept. 1) will help alleviate standing
in the long lines that will begin on that date. The 2005-06 annual
parking decal is $76.00. The semester cost is $38.00. The cost for
an annual evening decal is $32.00. The semester cost is $16.00 per
semester. These evening decals are valid ONLY between 3:30 and 7:00
p.m. The Bursar's Office is open from 8:00 to 4:30 daily.
