UW-Green Bay hosts United Way 'summit'

Members of the UW-Green Bay community are welcome to join the audience in the Union's Phoenix Room at 9 a.m. Friday (Nov. 18) for the unveiling of a potentially influential new United Way initiative. Called the Community Partnership for Children, the project is being launched with Friday's "provider summit" hosted by UW-Green Bay. It involves dozens of private and governmental partners; primary partners along with United Way and the University are Family Services and Project Start Smart. The goal is to sharpen the focus on serious issues facing children and families in Brown County. Following a welcome by Cyndie Shepard, presenters at the 9 a.m. session will include Judy Crain and Ginny Riopelle of United Way's Children and Families Impact Council; Polly Snodgrass of Family Services; Rose Smits of Encompass Child Care; and assessment coordinator Lori Furlano.
