News update: Investigation into Arboretum incident continues
UW-Green Bay and city police continue to investigate an alleged attack this morning on the Arboretum trail on the east end of campus. A female UW-Green Bay student reported to police that she was attacked at about 9:30 a.m. by a man on a trail near the University soccer field. The student's parents have been notified about the incident. UW-Green Bay's Emergency Management Team convened late this morning and is working to ensure the safety of the campus community. University police are increasing their patrols and encouraging students to be aware of their surroundings not only on the Arboretum trail, but across campus. Students with concerns should contact the Dean of Students Office at 465-2152. The attacker was described as a male, about 6-2 in height, thin build and wearing a black ski mask and black gloves. He also was wearing a dark sweatshirt, possibly with a hood, and jeans with holes in them. Anyone who was in the area of the attack or has information about the incident is asked to contact UW-Green Bay police at 465-2105. Anyone concerned about their personal safety and in need of an escort on campus also should contact University police.
