A choice of two times is available to faculty and staff, with the hour-long presentation offered at 8:30 a.m. and repeated at 9:45 a.m. A student session runs from 11 a.m. to noon. This year's forum will include the IT 2007 Action Plan and Results of the Student Technology Survey.

Also on Tuesday: big delegation heads to Madison for Posters in Rotunda
Fifteen UW-Green Bay students are in Madison to participate in "Posters in the Rotunda: A Celebration of Undergraduate Student Research." The students will be among 165 UW students displaying research projects at the State Capitol Tuesday (April 25). They will share their research with assorted Madison VIPs and the general public. A list of UW-Green Bay student researchers and the projects they will display is online at http://www.uwgb.edu/univcomm/news/archive/2006apr.htm#posters.

UW-Green Bay SIFE team prepares for national contest
The UW-Green Bay chapter of Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) will compete in the SIFE USA National Exposition May 21 through 23 in Kansas City, Mo. The 11-member team, representing 25 active SIFE members at UW-Green Bay, qualified by being named a SIFE USA Regional Champion in competition held in Minneapolis. The UW-Green Bay team reported on nine community projects over the past year, including organizing International Business Day activities at the University for Washington Middle School seventh graders. More news you should know: Records training, and Contracting 101
Melissa Jackson, university legal counsel, reminds us that two more programs are coming up in the ongoing professional development series in which various campus experts share their expertise. Admission is free.

• Wed. April 26, 2006 — Records Creation and Retention with Deb Andersen from the Library — session will focus on how we create and maintain records on campus and the legal obligations associated with those records. 10-11:30 a.m. in Niagara A in the Union.

• Tuesday May 2, 2006 — Contracting 101 with Melissa Jackson and Mike Barry. This session will focus on contract basics and contracting authority here at UW-Green Bay. 9-10:30 a.m. in Niagara A.

Snapshots: 'Boxes and Walls'
Lisa Tetzloff reports that "Boxes and Walls" was a great success! More than 100 students, staff, and faculty passed through the five interactive scenarios, which depicted situations promoting awareness of gender violence, Hmong culture, body image, disabilities, and sexual orientation. Anyone interested in serving on next year's planning committee can contact the Office of Student Life at 465-2200 ext. 41. More snapshots: diversity summit
Last week's Leadership Summit on Diversity was co-sponsored by UW-Green Bay, and the Office of Outreach and Adult Access has photo images online offering, for those who missed it, a look at an important inaugural event. See http://diversity.uwgb.edu/summit/photos.htm.

UW-Green Bay plans more than 40 summer courses for educators
UW-Green Bay is offering more than 40 different courses for educators over the summer, including four being offered for the first time. Asperger Syndrome: Strategies for Solving the Social Puzzle, Using the Outdoors to Enhance Your Curriculum, Reading and Writing Across the Content Areas, and Teaching Plant Diversity are new to the array of courses organized through the Outreach and Adult Access division. Also new are more enrollment choices, according to Carmen Leuthner, director of education outreach, who says more courses this summer will include noncredit options through which educators can earn a certificate of completion instead of graduate or undergraduate credit. For the full story, see http://www.uwgb.edu/univcomm/news/archive/2006mar.htm#courses.

Congratulations, Tim Prudlow
Only a sophomore, Tim Prudlow of Elm Grove, Wis., has become UW-Green Bay's first-ever Horizon League Player of the Year in men's tennis. He was the No. 1 singles player on a young team that finished fourth at the recent Horizon League tournament.

We like this kid, by Gosh
The headline writers here at the LOG newsletter are happy to see that a new freshman standout for the Phoenix men's golf teams is Garrett Gosh. Good Gosh! Not only was he tearing up a strong field, at last report, at the weekend's Dayton Spring Invitational, he joins the aptly named J. Winters (a Nordic skier), and her teammate, the dairy popular A. Cheesebro, on this year's all-name team.

Kids Night Out
There's still time, but not much, if you're interested in the next Kids Night Out With the Phoenix, this time set for Friday night, April 28 at the Phoenix Sports Center. It's geared for children ages 5-12 and allows kids to interact with UW-Green Bay student-athletes in a variety of activities. See http://www.uwgb.edu/athletics/offthefield/041906.asp.
