UW-Green Bay Log News, faculty, staff newsletter

Vol. 37, No. 92, April 7, 2006     /     Log Archive

Sit in at Regents
No, we’re not talking about a ‘60s-style “sit-in.” The headline here, instead, is an implied imperative, or invitation, to “come on over and sit in” on the April 2006 Board of Regents meeting. (Fans of the book “Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation” will appreciate the distinction.) The meeting begins at 9 a.m. today (Friday, April 7) in the Phoenix Room on the second level of the University Union. All members of the campus community are welcome to attend.

Centerpiece will be presentation by alumni, community leaders
The centerpiece of the Regents’ morning agenda will be a community panel presentation on the “Northeastern Wisconsin Growth Agenda for UW-Green Bay.” Panelists include award-winning UW-Green Bay alumni William Gollnick of the Oneida Nation, Diane Ford of WPS Resources and Paul Linzmeyer of Bay Towel. Additional community voices are Paul Jadin of the Chamber, Jeff Rafn of NWTC, Susan Finco of Leonard & Finco Public Relations and Larry Ferguson of Schreiber Food.
