Reminder: Tomorrow is Alumni Sale at Phoenix Bookstore
Our good friend in alumni relations, Mark Brunette, reminds everyone that Saturday (June 3) is the date for the exclusive UW-Green Bay alumni sale at the Phoenix Bookstore in the Cofrin Library. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., alumni will find 30 percent off on apparel, odds'n'ends... nearly everything in the store except books and electronics. 30% off! Throw in the fact there will be door prizes, stuff for kids, free hot dogs and beverages for alumni, and it's a great day to be a Phoenix! Make a special trip, or stop in if you're in the neighborhood, golfing Shorewood, or strolling the Arboretum.
No wire hangers. Ever!
That's the story at the Phoenix Bookstore. If you have passed their shop today, you have already seen evidence of their unique plastic coat-hanger sale: 1 bundle, 50 cents; 2 bundles, FREE! With the purchase of new "nice" hangers, of the wooden variety, the plastics are headed for a landfill unless you can give them a good home. (Wire hangers? Never! Fans of the campy Joan Crawford cult favorite "Mommy Dearest" know better than to even ask.)
